HEAT SHIELD PROTECTIVE
HOUSINGS
|
|
Heat Shield Protective Housings are used to protect
the Survey Instruments from the formation heat that is present in
today's deep oil and gas wells. A heat shield is needed when the hole
temperature is expected to exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit. It is common
practice to use a heat shield on most wells at 10,000 Feet True Vertical
Dept or in any well that is thought to have a bottom hole temperature in
excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit. |
